Intentional Dermatology and Health

Amanda (Amy) Wolthoff, MD, is board-certified by and a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She has broad spectrum experience of clinical practices, including both a wide range of medical expertise along with anti-aging (including cosmetic treatments), preventative skin care and surgical procedures.

Dr. Wolthoff grew up in Grapevine, Texas and attended the University of Oklahoma for her undergraduate degree, earning a title of Honor Scholar early on. In 2009 she received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her internship year of Internal Medicine at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She then joined the Department of Dermatology at the Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas where she was chief resident and received the Resident Leadership Award for recognition in superior leadership qualities, professionalism, teamwork and dedication to the residency program. She completed her Dermatology Board Exam and became Board Certified in Dermatology in July 2013.

She has a strong commitment to the community. As an undergraduate, she worked with the American Red Cross. While in San Antonio, she founded the Dermatology Interest Group and established a student-run skin care clinic to provide free medical care to the homeless and residents of a correctional facility. It is still active and running today!

Dr. Amanda (Amy) Wolthoff is dedicated to continuing education and to helping fellow physicians, with a strong history of research, case reports, and presentations. She has worked in private practice in the DFW metroplex since 2013 and has earned a reputation for excellence in compassionate patient care. Since starting she has been blessed with many awards from both patients and peers including “Three Best Rated Dermatologist in Dallas”, “Texas Super Doctors Texas Rising Star”, “Top 10 Doctor”, “Most Compassionate Doctor” and “Patient’s Choice Award” from 2013 to present.

Wellness is a lifestyle that she demonstrates and teaches to her family, friends, patients, and their families. She is a firm believer that the overall health of the body contributes to numerous skin conditions and needs to be addressed as part of the treatment plan. She is a daily user of doTERRA essential oils and believes that holistic options can be a great addition to conventional western medicine to help heal common skin conditions. She was elected to the Medical Advisory Board of doTERRA in early 2017 and is actively involved in educating other medical professionals and helping to create physician protocols utilizing peer-reviewed clinical studies. As of May 2023 she has been accepted and will be completing a certificate program, taught by other Board Certified Dermatologists, highlighting evidenced based treatments outside of conventional medicine for common Dermatology issues. The program is called “Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program”.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, reading for fun, and football.
